The prevailing wind is that of the North-West (Tramontana), only, as it is a pond, it can be ridden by winds from the West, North-East, East and South-West. It is even possible to get there in a south-easterly wind but you must remain vigilant because in these conditions, the wind pushes to the bottom of the pond. As the water level rises at the bottom of the pond, you quickly lose your footing, so you have to know how to go upwind if you choose to foil there in a south-easterly wind.
